Welcome to the home page of Dr. Mohammed Rashid.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Technology at Minnesota State University (MNSU), Mankato, MN. At MNSU, I also direct the Distributed Intelligent Sensing and Communication (DiSCOM) Lab, where our research focuses on the theory and applications of AI/ML to develop algorithms and techniques for a wide range of applications and coordination challenges in distributed multi-agent wireless systems.
Please visit my DiSCOM Lab page to learn more about our current projects as well as future job and collaboration opportunities.
My teaching interests include courses on Electrical Engineering, with a particular emphasis on Communication Systems and Signal Processing, as well as courses related to AI/ML.
Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience in teaching, research, and student mentoring. I have published in leading IEEE journals, delivered invited talks, secured competitive research funding, and mentored students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. My long-term goal is to become a distinguished professor and researcher, contributing to the development of future generations through impactful teaching, innovative research, and dedicated mentorship.
